Compliance COO-Business Lead recruitment
Key aspects of role
• Facilitate delivery of COO / business management services to the Americas Compliance function, including:
oExecution of the risk management activities specifically:
- perform annual refresh of Business Continuity Management (BCM )plan for Compliance Americas including:
ØEnsure each Compliance area has remote access, discloses critical systems, workload transfer plans, communication plans, etc.
ØMaintain current status of monthly plan attributes to ensure satisfactory reporting to senior management
ØConfirm testing of Work Area Recovery (WAR) seats
Øliaise with firm BCM contacts wherever necessary
- coordinate the update of New Product Service (NPS) approvers list and checklist
- maintain user access to shared drives via permissioning and recertification
- review, manage, provide floor/building access
oCommunicate capabilities to educate and inform staff to deliver operational best practices for the Compliance function
- Development of Compliance’s people capability via the Grad Program in coordination with HR by managing the Compliance Graduate Summer intern programs including recruitment and assessment of candidates, onboard and place analysts, facilitate rotations, implement training, oversee committees, manage ongoing development and issue resolution while maintaining management support of the program and our high retention rate
oFinancial management and control of Market Data cost, usage and budget; other ad hoc budget/cost items
• Support regional and global leadership to ensure effective delivery of critical functional/management issues while addressing and responding to day-to-day issues effectively and efficiently
• Work with COOs across Bank, Corporate and other firm clusters to identify best practices for running the Compliance function in CIB.
• Assist team and department with ad hoc tasks and projects
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years experience working within financial services, preferably in a top tier investment bank
- Prior experience in management consultancy
- Prior experience in change management experience including issue mitigation
- Prior experience overseeing and managing projects from inception to resolution requiring confidentiality and discretion

- MBA or equivalent preferable
