Compliance Department Internship M/F recruitment
The Exane group is a leading independent Capital Markets player in Europe with operations in three businesses:
- Equities intermediation: sales, execution and research on European stocks, under the Exane BNP Paribas brand.
- Sales and trading of listed equity derivatives as well as creation and issuance of structured products.
- Management of alternative (and structured) funds.
The Exane group employs some 850 people in Paris, London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, Madrid, Milan, Stockholm, New York and Singapore.
The position is within the London Compliance Department, under the supervision of the UK Head of Compliance.
You will be involved with the Cash Equity department and will deal with transversal conformity issues, assisting with the following:
Cash Equity:
- Risk mapping for the sales, trading and research businesses
- Development and implementation of a compliance monitoring plan
- Testing in accordance with the monitoring plan
Transversal issues:
- Personal Account Dealing policy
- FSA Approved Persons
- Gifts
- Training and Competency
This internship will give you a comprehensive view of Compliance operations in the UK, and exposure to the UK regulatory regime. You will be a fully-fledged member of the team.
This internship position is to be filled from September 2012.
Educated at post-graduate level from a leading university, engineering school or business school.
Rigorous and efficient.
Good analytical skills.
Awareness of absolute confidentiality requirements.
Very good command of Excel.
Fluent English and French.
Flexibility in terms of working hours is essential as occasionally you will be required to work before the market opens.
