Compliance & Internal Control Officer

To assist the Head of Compliance and Internal Control with the purpose of complying with the Regulator and Internal Control requirements and the controls gaps associates with the business activities.

To participate in the assessment of the Internal Control System and to perform controls in order to preserve the reputation of the bank, to combat treat of money laundering and combating terrorist financing that might affect the bank.

Compliance tasks:

-        As per the Head of Compliance requirements conduct on-going compliance reviews

-        Promote the employees' awareness by providing Compliance/ AML, KYC training courses to the Subsidiary's staff

-        Provide advice service to the Subsidiary's Management in relation to product services (policies and procedures) from Compliance Internal Control perspective

-        Review of policies and procedures and update them with any new regulations and implemented, including Compliance Manual

-        Review the KYC and Due Diligence documents for new clients, MR, HR and PEP

-        Investigate on all new prospect, World-Check, Lexis-Nexis controls

-        Asses and prepare account summaries for approval by the Executive Management Committee, escalate

-        Investigate on higher risk clients and prepare reports for the Executive Management Committee

-        Create new accounts in the core banking system and follow up and assessment of the information in the data base

-        Update the core banking system

-        As per the Head of Compliance requirements closed account in the core banking system

-        Check mandates files for completion of documents, on a regular basis

-        Monitor and follow-up delinquent and dormant accounts

-        Participate to the preparation of annual report on internal control in coordination with Head of Compliance and Internal Control

 

Anti-Money Laundering tasks:

-        Perform the regular monitoring of the customer names

-        Handle AML Hits

-        Suggest to the Management internal investigations to be carried out on AML matters, carry out with diligence those that are entrusted to him, and report to the Management any breach of the MLA rules by members of the personnel

-        Participate in the assessment of risks on money laundering and protects the bank against the risk reputation

-        Internal Country Matrix review

 

Internal Control tasks:

-   Investigate and follow-up any human or systems errors including monitoring that the Subsidiary submits Incident Reports as required

-   Perform all internal controls described in the Internal Control Matrix

-   Participate to the preparation of internal control report for every assignment conducted detailing the review objectives, scope and outcome

Qualifications:

-        The candidate should also have relevant 2-3 years practical experience in banking Compliance in Switzerland or in regulatory agency in Switzerland with a good knowledge of all relevant Swiss regulations

-        Knowledge of control/audit procedures in banking institution or regulatory agency preferably in compliance or internal audit function

-        Good knowledge of basic Office programs (Word, Excel…)., experience working with Avaloq system a plus

-        Team spirit and motivation in working in a small and dynamic organization

-        Proactive, rigorous, detail-oriented

-        Flexibility, good communication skills

-        The candidate must have good written and spoken English and French
