Compliance Manager, Asset Management recruitment
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a boutique, independent Asset Management Company looking to hire a Compliance Manager to assist with the setup of the business in Singapore and ensure that activities are all in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Solely responsible for all regulatory matters; keep abreast of applicable regulatory requirements; advise the Company on licensing requirements of existing and new regulated activities and act as a central liaison body for Regulators.
- Responsible for developing and implementing a compliance framework to ensure that the Company and its officers adhere to applicable regulations at all times.
- Monitor the businesses' on-going operational reviews and controls; set-up and update the Company's policies, manuals, handbooks, regulations and procedures.
- Address, monitor and investigate actionable items; review account documentation, marketing material, oversee transactions to ensure compliance with investment mandates and coordinate annual file reviews.
- Manage the Company's Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in a banking or financial environment.
- Track record in managing the compliance activities of a business unit.
- Experience working in or liaising with MAS.
- Ability to understand and to communicate industry rules and regulations.
- Trustworthy, discreet with the highest integrity, both personally and professionally.
- Able to work without supervision.
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and offer viable solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin.
