COMPLIANCE MANAGER recruitment
The Compliance manager will be responsible for leading the design, implementation and maintenance of the regulatory compliance approach (including FSA, AML and DPA compliance) in line with the Company’s risk management framework, business plan and regulatory environment. This includes developing detailed regulatory compliance policies and processes and working with the business to facilitate the understanding and embedding of these within the Company.
The Compliance manger will be responsible for scoping and agreeing the annual monitoring programme and for reporting the outcome of this activity to the Risk and Audit committees and the Board. In addition the role will be required to support the preparation of the 6 monthly FSA reporting and for assessing and escalating regulatory breaches and monitoring the progress of management actions.
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing the
upstream regulatory risk management process within the Company and for assisting the business in responding to regulatory and internal change.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing Relationships:
- Provide support to key business stakeholders in implementing Company regulatory compliance policies and processes, managing action to address regulatory non-compliance or breaches and responding to regulatory or internal change.
- Work closely with the Risk Manager to align risk management approaches.
- Manage the relationship with the 3rd party outsourced provider compliance representatives.
- Assist in the management of the FSA supervisory relationship.
- Represent Compliance at the monthly Risk and Compliance Committee.
- Primary contact for regulatory breaches or areas of non-compliance.
- Managing Process and Administration:
- Lead the design, documentation, communication and implementation of the Company’s regulatory compliance policy and processes.
- Undertake an annual review of the regulatory compliance policy in preparation for Board sign off,communicating amendments to business areas as required.
- Scope, agree and implement the annual compliance monitoring programme.
- Design and implement the upstream regulatory risk management process.
- Scope and implement monthly IFA commission and ISA cash balance monitoring.
- Review and sign off new of changes to customer documentation or marketing material.
- Prepare and collate monthly Compliance reporting to the Risk Compliance and Audit committees and the Company Board.

- Maintain the regulatory compliance policy and ensure that this is embedded in core processes and individual roles within the company.

Core Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Regulatory Compliance role, ideally within a platform environment.
- Detailed knowledge of FSA (including COLL, CASS and COBs), AML and DPA requirements.
- Industry qualification such as CISI IAQ, CII preferred.
- Experience of overseeing 3rd party outsourced providers.
- Excellent knowledge of industry regulatory compliance best practice.
- Experience in developing and implementing Regulatory compliance risk management policies and processes.
- Experience in dealing with the FSA and other external bodies.
- Experience in managing regulatory change initiatives.
- Experience in scoping and delivering a risk based compliance monitoring programme.
- Ability to understand and articulate the commercial benefits of effective regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Ability to analyse, present and report regulatory compliance information to senior stakeholders.
