We are currently looking to hire a Compliance Monitoring Manager who will be responsible for conducting compliance reviews within Santander Global Banking and Markets London, Santander Corporate Bank and Banco Santander (London). In this role you will focus on supporting the development, management and delivery of compliance arrangements that facilitates Santander's compliance with the regulations.

The role is forms part of the Wholesale Compliance infrastructure.

As a Compliance Monitoring Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

A proven track record of experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of the rules of the FSA (including MiFID)
Knowledge of cross border transactions
Knowledge/exposure to at least two of the following products:
1.Credit/rates (cash/derivatives)
2.Equity (UK and European)
3.Financing transactions (repos/reverse repos, stock lending/borrowing)
Knowledge and practical experience of developing a compliance monitoring programme
Highly developed written oral communication skills.
Ability to execute monitoring programmes
Basic negotiation influencing skills
Ability to ensure that objectives are met

As a Compliance Monitoring Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

Reviews - Conducting compliance reviews to assess compliance with the rules of the FSA, internal policy and any other internal regulations that may be relevant.
External relationship management - responsible for answering queries regarding reviews with regulators, internal audit, exchanges and any other interested party
Internal relation management - providing advice to management as well front and back office functions
Technical guidance - Co-ordinating with overseas offices/booking centres within the Santander group
Management reporting and analysis - analysing MI to ensure procedures developed by various functions are consistent with high level policy

Location: London
Salary: Up to £46,000 + excellent benefits
