Compliance Officer – AML – PEP recruitment
Credit Suisse is looking for an experienced AML Compliance Officer to join its team
The Role
PEPs
- Review potential PEPs from across the EMEA region;
- Update and maintain the EMEA PEP database; and
- Assist with AML projects, including the annual PEP reviews.
AML and Anti-Corruption
- Analyse increased AML risk issues (e.g. sanctions and corruption);
- Conduct AML research into money laundering related issues;
- Advising on Bank Anti-Corruption matters including onboarding Finders and transactional isuses;
- Perform AML post-transaction monitoring;
- Review pre-transaction approvals, including potential reputational AML matters including sanctions;
- Give advice on country AML COmplianc eporgrams in developing market jurisdictions;
- Conduct sanctions and adverse news screening of existing clients and linked officials;
- Implement AML suspensions; and
- Assist with the provision of AML-related training.

Reporting
- May include supervison of one staff;
- Ensure incoming tasks are being fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner; and
- Supporting high risk AML Businesses in a proactive way including maintaining contact with other Legal and Compliance functions, and other relevant Departments.
Qualifications
Background and Education
- Accounting / Business / Economics / Finance / Law Degree preferred.
- Experience in the financial services industry with a good understanding of international and UK AML Rules, Regulations and Guidance including the UK JMLSG Guidance, Money Laundering Directives and Regulations and FATF Recommendations;
- Experience working automonously with minimum supervison and delevring against specific project goals.
