Compliance Officer (Fixed Income) recruitment

 Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for implementing all aspects of Compliance for a specific product line of asset management products on Bloomberg, Charles River, Aladdin and other order management systems. 

• Opportunities to work on strategic and global projects, eg migration between compliance systems 

• Address day to day compliance issues related to trading strategies and the application of technology related controls created and applied during this process by the Compliance department.

• Conduct research into trade issues as and when they arise to ensure all trading activities are in line with the compliance process

• Prepare documentation to support FSA / regulatory requirements

• Regular interaction with global compliance team, and exposure to global projects 

• Assist in responding to regulatory or client queries as needed

• Serve as a liaison between the investment teams the compliance function – be seen as a team member within Fixed Income rather than as a support function

• Interface with clients as part of the Compliance team during due diligence meetings which includes face to face and remote meetings to explain the compliance aspects of our business with relation to the client accounts. 

• Familiar with client reporting, such as certifications, preparing monthly, quarterly or ad hoc client requests, etc.

Experience and Knowledge: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study required.

• Compliance experience within another Asset Manager or Investment Manager, specifically with direct exposure to the front office environment, and ideally with direct Fixed Income knowledge

• Knowledge of UK/EU regulatory requirements within Financial Services

• Working knowledge of back office operations within a similar organisation 

• Strong prioritization, problem solving, oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with all levels of employees is essential in this role

• Attention to detail; must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a group setting.  

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills – and the ability to present large amounts of data in a clear and concise way

• Familiarity with trading systems and their compliance component such as Charles River, Bloomberg, Aladdin, or similar order management/compliance rules based systems, and ideally experience of coding within these systems

• Proficiency of the Microsoft Office suite of applications required;
