COMPLIANCE OFFICER & Legal all-rounder recruitment

Our client is a Swiss Private Bank with growing presence in Switzerland, Asia and the Middle East. Committed to traditional Swiss Private Banking standards, our client offers their Private and Institutional tailor made solutions to serve their sophisticated needs.

Sole Compliance and Legal Representative on the ground and reporting into the Head Office in Zurich, your role will include but not be limited to:

• Liaising with Private Bankers to ensure all account openings and transactions are fully compliant as per local regulations and Swiss standards

• Training of employees on internal guidelines, legal and regulatory requirements and procedures 

• Liaise with the Head Office in Switzerland and local authorities and regular reporting

• Analyze, investigate and report doubtful transactions

• Review and Approve documentation and monitor transactions

• Continuously follow-up on local regulations and communicate internally, analyze potential impact or conflict with internal regulations

• Develop monitoring programs

• Carefully analyze, monitor and coordinate other legal issues that may arise

As this is a Representative Office of a Swiss Private Bank, you will be directly reporting into the Head of Compliance and Legal in Switzerland. As such, it is mandatory that you come along with an employment history in Compliance in a Swiss Private Bank, with a proven knowledge of Swiss Regulations.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Legal background

• 3 – 10 Years experience in a similar role under Swiss Banking Regulations

• Excellent communication skills in English

• German or Arabic language skills of great advantage
