Compliance Officer recruitment
A leading international bank currently has an opportunity for a Compliance Officer within their compliance monitoring team. The bank is looking for a candidate with at least 4-5 years within compliance in banking.
The essential duties of the Compliance Officer will be to:
- Review on a periodic basis, the relevant compliance domains and business areas set out in the Compliance Monitoring Programme to establish compliance or otherwise with the various requirements.
- Monitor the introduction of new or amended compliance obligations as set out in relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
- Assess the impact of these and then initiate a process to make any required changes to practices, procedures and documentation.
- Provide advice and assistance on compliance issues, especially the interpretation of relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
- Co-ordinate the various registrations and returns which are required by the various compliance regimes.
- Undertake any required investigations into possible or suspected breaches of compliance regulations.
- Where appropriate provide compliance information, which is requested by the various compliance bodies and counterparties.
- Monitor the Basic Compliance of the Group and report as appropriate, any issues or risks.
- Assess the implementation by the Group of the Groups Compliance Rules.
- Where appropriate represent the Group at various compliance bodies and in the development and formulation of compliance regulations and policies.
