Position:  Compliance Officer 
Reporting to:  General Manager and Board of Directors

ANIMA Asset Management, an asset management company based in Dublin, Ireland, with assets under management of €5 billion and fully owned by ANIMA SGR, is currently looking for a Compliance Officer.

Reporting to the General Manager and to the Board of Directors, the Compliance Officer is in particular responsible for the following activities:

• Oversight of regulatory compliance of the Company and the Funds promoted by it. Identifying potential risk areas linked to regulatory obligations and initiate/monitor the implementation of rectifying/preventing measures.
• Manage regulatory requirements and priorities, recommend actions plans for their implementation;
• Maintain relationships with the Central Bank of Ireland and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all the compliance policies and procedures are reviewed on a regular basis and kept up to date;
• Develop and deliver compliance risk assessments and monitoring plans, as well as compliance reporting. Monitor the control framework.
• Provide management and Board reporting in regard to regulatory requirements and developments; 
• Train the Company’s personnel regarding the laws and regulations applicable to the Company’s business;
• Liaise with Parent Company’s Compliance Department to ensure consistent application of regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures;
• Liaise with Risk Management Department on compliance matters;
• Liaise with Internal Audit when required and cooperate with the internal and external Auditors in the course of their inquiries.
• Undertake specific responsibilities on behalf of investment companies promoted by the Company, including acting as Designated Individual for specific management or other regulated functions.

The position is based in Dublin city centre, Ireland.

Experience:
- At least five years previous experience in a compliance within the financial services industry is essential (preferably asset management/ investment funds);
- Proven track record writing and implementing policies and procedures and the management of same essential;
- Exceptional organisational skills;
- Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English. Fluency in Italian a significant plus.
