Compliance Officer recruitment

Robert Half are recruiting a Senior Compliance Manager for a London branch of an overseas Retail Bank/Commercial Bank on a contract to permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity of a senior Compliance Professional to work in a broad compliance role with access to senior management in the bank and ability to influence policy and decisions but also to retain a hands on approach. The Compliance Manager will report directly to the General Manager of the Bank and have full responsibility for all of the FSA Regulatory Compliance of the Bank. Therefore you must be CF10, CF11 approved. The key responsibilities are Anti Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery and Financial Crime prevention, Complaints handling and Data Protection. As such the person will be responsible for monitoring and training around compliance issues in the bank and should have detailed knowledge of the FSA handbook rules. There will be responsibility for one direct report.

Essential Skills required:
- CF10, CF11 Approved
- 5 years + Retail Banking/Commercial Banking experience
- Significant Compliance experience with a Retail Bank
- Understanding of how SOCA agencies work
- Detailed understanding of FSA Handbook

Salary Benefits - Up to £70k on a Fixed Term Contract basis
