Within the new Energy Europe Business Line (EEBL), the Energy Management Trading (EMT) Business is responsible for the optimization of the Group’s assets in Europe: purchase contracts, physical assets and sales contracts. Its role is to ensure competitive energy for our customers while maximizing the value created, in a context of controlled risks.
EMT manages, over all time horizons, one of the largest and most diversified energy portfolios in Europe comprising electricity, gas, coal, petroleum products, biomass, CO2 and environmental products.
Within the Internal Control Compliance department of GDF SUEZ Trading, we are currently looking for a Compliance Officer.
Mission
- take part to preventive actions
- advise departments on questions related to regulation, rules of conduct, compliance handbooks or procedures and internal security rules
- organize compliance trainings, develop training material or keep training materiel updated
- contribute to articles for the bi-monthly compliance newsletter
- perform compliance administration for front and back office employees
- update of compliance handbooks and procedures linked to changes in the business organization and changes in the regulation
- assess the set of rules for internal control framework linked to changes in the business organization and changes in the regulation. Update process and control documentation accordingly in relation with business departments - take part in the spot check program
- perform spot checks: select sample data, analyze and draft an action plan and align with business for validation
- follow-up actions plans
- contribute to the improvement of spot check program and spot check methodology - contribute to the monitoring of operating control process through alert/dysfunctioning/risk indicators relative to internal control and ethics
- elaborate reports for the company (Ethics Compliance Committee, ICFEM Committee, etc.)
Profile
- you have a master degree, ideally in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk
- you have experience in a risk management or compliance or audit position
- you have a good understanding of trading/banking business
- you are fluent in English, French Dutch
- you are assertive and analytical
