A property investment company has an immediate need for a compliance/ bookkeeping accountant.

The Role:

The role is distinctly split between a Compliance and Financial Accounting role. You will report directly to the Finance Director.

Responsibilities:

-VAT Returns for 5 entities.

-Assistance in preparing Financial Statements for Year End.

-Preparation of Bank Reporting Documents.

-Assisting in Reporting to Joint Venture Partners.

-Assisting with Corporation Tax Compliance.

-Completion of Statutory Returns.

-Involvement in Internal Audit Process.

-Oversight of Business Rates

-Ad hoc reporting as required by Finance Director.

Bank: Bank Reconciliation, Monthly Petty Cash reconciliation and posting of transactions in Sage 50,Monitor and analyse monthly petty cash revenue and spend and Posting and reconciling bank accounts in multiple currencies.

Accounts Payable: Processing invoices and credit notes into Sage 50 in multiple currencies, Using Excel functions to manipulate and import data into the accounting system and Review Ageing.

Accounts Receivable: Post receipts and prepare intercompany receipt journals, Review and monitor ageing for potential bad debt, Posting Invoices.

Month End: Prepare entity for Month end close, Review and post journals and Maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations and lead schedules

Analysis: Preparation of balance sheet and PL analysis for each of the entities upon request and Commentary on PL movements each month for FD.

Year End: Assisting in the year-end audit process including preparation of Financial Statements under UK GAAP.

The candidate:

-Good knowledge of SAGE 50

-Good knowledge of Excel

-Good Communicator

-Multiple currencies exposure

-UK GAAP Exposure
