Listed below is our job description for the Construction Coordinator position.  This position offers an hourly rate of $23.50, depending upon experience as well as a competitive benefits package, which includes PTO and healthcare coverage.

 

General Summary

             

The Construction Coordinator position will work under supervision to upgrade the Company’s wireless network.  This position will coordinate the ordering, delivery and kitting of site equipment.  The Construction Coordinator will work with contract install groups and local engineers to ensure that site installations meet specifications are completed on time and within budget.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

·             Assist to develop and implement site installation plans to accomplish the Company’s organizational goals

·         Under supervision, allocate resources, prepare work schedules and assign tasks to meet project goals; coordinate the ordering, kitting and delivery of site equipment

·             Simultaneously manage multiple construction sites; visit construction sites on a daily and weekly basis; act as single point of contact for issue resolution

·             Participate in meetings with engineering and management teams to communicate project status

·             Assist to deliver projects, programs and initiatives within defined scope and schedule

·         Collaborate to create project financial budgets, develop and implement cost saving measures to conserve the Company’s resources

·         Deploy standard engineering processes, tools and methodologies on assigned projects

·         Communicate and liaise with all other Company departments; notify appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may affect efficient operations including, but not limited to, outages, service disruptions, tower volume and repeated customer complaints

·             Work requires weekend and/or evening work and some travel may be required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

 

·             Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to drive for business purposes

·             Three (3) years of experience in technical complex project management preferred; or a combination of construction-installation team leadership experience with technical project experience involving wireless site development, telecommunications or information technologies

·         Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

·             Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; solid understanding of  job related software including Microsoft Project and other project management software

·         Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence; ability to interact with all levels of staff, including senior management

·         Must be able to demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities

·         Ability to analyze and define problems, prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines and remain flexible

·             Expert understanding of intricate technical problems; ability to independently resolve issues

·             Proficient with interpreting financial budgets and information

·             Solid knowledge of current events and technology related to the Company and competitors

·             Ability to maintain confidentiality

·             Must comply with Company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established safety policies and requirements

 

Physical Demands and Working Environment

 

·         Physical demands: The position requires the incumbent to remain in the sitting position for prolonged hours. While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

·         Work environment: Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.

·         Must be able to work safely in a field environment. Must be adept at working in adverse weather conditions.

·         Daily travel within the Company’s geographical footprint and external destinations may be required.
