Typical duties will include but will not be limited to the following: Provide technical supervision to staff as assigned and coordinate all aspects of the project. Complete communication activities as assigned, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Coordinates all project activities - Respond to field staff questions regarding contractors, material, supplies, etc - Verify contractor insurance requirements are met prior of start of job. - Makes shipping and storage arrangements if necessary - Notifies properties, contractors and project assistants of scope and scheduled date for projects - Contacts and or responds to property/superintendent, drafting, accounting, and purchasing staff questions related to project coordination - Assists with resolving project related issues - Continuously reviews status of all projects with coordinator and communicates any project changes - Completes inventory of material upon project completion - Determine disposition of leftover material o i.e. return to vendor, store at property or ship to new location. - Completes Completion Checklist before making final payment to contractor - Work is completed satisfactorily - All leftover material has been inventoried - All leftover materials have been accounted for and removed from rental storage - All rental equipment has been returned - Receipts have been obtained for any back-charges such as: motel rooms, tools, etc - All back-charges have been deducted - Conduct periodic inspections of any possible work to be done. - Conduct periodic inspections of work in progress - Travel may be extensive. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - BS in Construction Management required - Timberline software experience a plus, but not necessary - Experience in the construction industry preferred LANGUAGE ABILITY: - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents - Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community - Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format - Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/ or boards of directors To be considered, please apply online at www.spherion.com/jobs when prompted for a recruiter code, use R45520000886 .
