Construction Senior Associate

The London office of a growing US Firm. They have had the privilege of working on some of the most fascinating and complex legal matters in the world. THE ROLE
To provide senior level support to the Global Project partners and other partners across the firm's international and U.S.office network in a range of construction projects and transactional matters.
The Team: The addition of a construction lawyer to the team is a new venture and they will form part of the Global Projects team which currently has 15 members in London.
They primarily advise in the energy sector on transactions in Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.
ABOUT YOU
Experience:
* Good knowledge of construction and engineering contract forms and related agreements is essential
* Experience of other project documentation would be helpful
* Experience of project finance transactions is desirable
* Experience in the oil and gas sector (LNG especially) and the mining and metals sector is desirable
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2:1 degree from a leading UK university or equivalent for non UK
* Qualified in England and Wales, having passed all Law Society professional examinations at the first attempt or equivalent for non UK or eligible to become qualified in England and Wales following completion of the QLTS
* Pre-qualification training at a leading law firm or experience at a reputable energy practice including in-house or major energy company
Essential Qualities:
* Needs to bring a balance between demonstrably strong core legal skills and an understanding of clients' commercial priorities
* The successful candidate must be willing to travel internationally
