THE ROLE
To provide mid-senior level support to the Global Projects partners and other partners across the firm's international and U.S.office network in a range of energy projects and transactional matters, with particular emphasis on upstream and midstream oil and gas.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2:1 degree from a leadingUKuniversity or equivalent for nonUK
* Qualified inEnglandandWales, having passed all Law Society professional examinations at the first attempt or equivalent for nonUKor eligible to become qualified inEnglandandWalesfollowing completion of the QLTS
* Pre-qualification training at a leading law firm or experience at a reputable energy practice including in-house or major energy company
Preferred Experience:
* As a minimum the candidate must have a strong grounding in the oil and gas/energy industries and would ideally have energy projects experience
* Experience in the majority of the following areas is expected:
* Upstream/Downstream Contracts
* Joint Operating Agreements
* Farm-out Agreements
* Oil and Gas Sales, Marketing, Transportation and Processing Agreements
* Unitisation Agreements
* Production Sharing Contracts
* LNG Sales, Marketing and Project development
* Assets and corporate acquisition and disposal
Essential Qualities:
* Needs to bring a balance between demonstrably strong core legal skills and an understanding of clients' commercial priorities
* The successful candidate must be willing to travel internationally
