Department
The CBC Banking and Financial Services division (BFS) comprises two practices: Capital Markets (where this role sits) and Banking Payments. BFS offers a compelling Value Proposition to clients as a trusted advisor, a transformation partner and a technological innovator. With a world-class team of specialists in business IT strategy, business process re-engineering and the implementation and support of systems up to and including enterprise-level, we deliver solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
· To perform business analysis on behalf of our banking clients, usually as a member of a Cognizant team based at client-site
· To recommend improvements to existing processes or systems for our clients
· To manage, or assist with managing and developing our client relationships by identifying client needs, defining problems, producing proposals and recommending courses of action.
· To effectively manage relationships with other team members across geographical and organisational boundaries.
Job Requirements
· To represent Cognizant Business Consulting and to undertake general consulting and business analysis duties on behalf of our clients, on client site and either individually or (more usually) as a member of a team of Cognizant consultants
· The ability to establish and develop effective client relationships in order to deliver solutions and identify new business opportunities
· The ability to produce or contribute to client proposals
Required Skills
· Experience in investment banking technology gained at a either consultancy or a financial institution
· Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following: the trade life-cycle (FO/MO/BO), order routing and management systems, credit/market risk management, settlement and clearing, reporting (regulatory, client and KPI) and reference data (market or static).
· Excellent understanding of at least one major asset class e.g. government bonds, corporate bonds, commercial paper, FX, equities, listed derivatives or OTC derivatives.
· A sound understanding of the impact of regulatory change, particularly within the UK
· A good knowledge and understanding of business analysis techniques
· Excellent consulting and communication skills

· With other Cognizant employees across the entire organization (including Asia and the US)
· With other colleagues within the CBC BFS practice
· With other team members on client site
· With clients
