Consultant, Trade and Settlements – ETF Product Support recruitment

Role / Principal Responsibilities

Reporting to the Trade and Settlements Quality Assurance Manager, Asset Servicing.

To provide support and oversight for partners in the Bangalore International Settlements Settlement Team and support for various internal partner groups globally.

•   Exchange Traded Funds product support function

o    Provide front line client, business and product support for all elements of the ETF trade capture, settlement and reconciliation process.

o    Prime focus and support across the business to ensure we are the ‘go to’ function for ETFs.

o    Provide expertise in the ETF process from a front to back technical knowledge and market infrastructure perspective.

o    Functional interaction with the Client Servicing, Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting and any other team that involves a business support and liaison for their respective divisions.

o    Day to day ownership of the process complexities and processing tasks that drive the ETF expectations and business requirements.

•   Provide daily oversight from London of the migrated functions

o    Internal point of escalation for all issues raised

o    Assist and offer guidance with the implementation of any projects in conjunction with the Change Management team.

o    Monitor and review Bangalore Trade and Settlement team’s performance to the agreed Service Levels on a continual basis.  Agree required action plan and timescales to resolve any SLA breaches.

•   Provide continuity of business knowledge and ownership of any issues raised by the Bangalore Trade and Settlements teams or other Partner Areas.

•   Be prepared to assist partners within Bangalore Trade and Settlements teams by acting very much “hands on” if the circumstances demand it.

•   Provide on-going coaching/educating of the Bangalore Trade and Settlements teams in their roles.  Facilitate discussions between locations to promote learning and sharing of information.

•   Responsible for client queries, client communication and Daily Data Quality.

•   Project related work.

•   Completion of any Custodian Service Reviews

•   Root cause analysis of operational inefficiencies.

•   Management of Buy In Escalation Process in conjunction with Senior Management

Skills / Experience

•   Exchange Traded Funds product experience from a market and relevant participant platform

•   Have ‘hands on’ knowledge of Northern’s Trade and Settlements process, procedures and systems.

•   Communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, locations and clients

•   Have the ability to operate in a dynamic environment of growth and change.

•   Risk awareness and risk management skills.  The ability to proactively address issues and escalate as appropriate.

•   Co-ordination skills, specifically across locations and partner areas, taking ownership of any issues.

•   Strong focus on client service delivery; with the ability to take a proactive and innovative approach.

•   Flexibility and the ability to multi task.

•   Flexibility on working hours and product coverage, intra and end of day.
