Consultant/Business Analyst
Business Analyst interface with Clients business and technical representatives and our corporate resources to determine requirements, then produce and test high quality specification that effectively meet the Client’s business and functional needs. Flexibility and Australian Interstate travel essential.
Reporting to the Head of Professional Services this role is responsible for acting as an intermediary between end users and IT developers, providing technical analysis and system design consideration, cost/benefit analysis and the management of delivery timelines for business requirements.
The ideal applicant would possess:
• 2-3 years experience ideally formed in a treasury/front office environment.
• Proven experience with business requirement gathering and analysis, ideally in a Financial Services environment
• Experience in development of functional specifications and overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware products
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels and areas of the business and external vendors and suppliers
• Knowledge of SQL , database design and business process re- engineering
Technical Consultant/Script Developer
Technical Consultants/Scripter Developers interface with Clients business and technical representatives and OpenLink Business Analysts to determine requirements, then produce and test high quality scripts that effectively meet the Client’s business and functional needs. The complexity of some scripts will require a high level of technical and functional understanding and proficiency. Flexibility and Australian Interstate travel essential.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- They possess a high written and oral communication skill set.
- A minimum of 1.5 years programming experience within a large organization (Banking or Energy/Commodities preferred but not essential).
- A good understanding of structured programming principles and development.
- The ability to understand business requirements and processes involved in creating a bespoke solution.
- A demonstrable track-record of producing properly functioning Scripts to appropriate standards, on-time and on-budget.
- Knowledge of AVS or JVS scripting an advantage, but training can be given.
- Ability to create in-code documentation to required standards.
Skills required:
- Knowledge of programming in a procedural language (Java and/or a C-based Scripting Language).
- Experience with reporting tools, (i.e) Crystal reports, Business Objects, etc)
- Experience with relational databases (MSSQL Server, Oracle would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of SQL (in particular the SELECT statement).
- Obtain a 80%+ pass rate from OpenLink’s prerequisite scripter employment written exam (undertaken on first interview)
