RATES VALUATIONS CONTROL – VICE PRESIDENT recruitment

The primary responsibilities of the role is to further develop valuation methodology and ensure integrity and control over all aspects of the Rates and Commodity Trading within the Investment Banking units in Asia.

• The build out of Rates valuation, valuation risk and reserve methodologies for a rapidly evolving product suite.

• Oversight, review and challenging of IPV results to ensure accurate marking of books on a daily basis. 

• Play a lead role in the development of the Bank's valuation policies and proceedures with regular dialogue across the group's departmental Heads.

• Proactively improve processes and methods including streamlining, automation and off-shoring of existing processes.

• Assess adequacy of model controls to ensure ongoing validity including regular recalibration and parameter reviews.

Candidate profile:

The candidate will ideally come from a Valuations Control or a Quantative Model/Risk background, with a strong technical knowledge surrounding either Rates or Commodities.   Any additional exposure to equities, FX or Credit would also be advantageous.

Specific exposure to reserving, pricing and modelling aspects of valuation control of trading businesses is preferred.

Strong Excel and some VBA along with market data provider knowledge: Bloomberg, Markit etc.
