Contact Centre Customer Care Officer

Our Client, a large public sector organisation in North Bristol is recruiting someone to join the team in their established corporate contact centre. This is a challenging environment with a high volume of calls and will provide a first time resolution of both council tax and benefit enquiries by delivering a high quality customer service.

Main Duties

Working in the contact centre you will be expected to answer telephone calls, update computer records as appropriate and to provide advice on all aspects of council tax and housing benefit enquiries. As this is a short-term post, you should be able to hit the ground running, and not need to be trained on the above topics.

Essential Criteria

You must have significant experience, preferably within the last one year, of advising on Council Tax and or Housing Benefits queries, either in a Front Line Public Service delivery environment or in a Revenues and Benefits environment or equivalent.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Experience in handling confidential Information.

The ability to understand, explain and implement legislation.

Excellent telephone manner and communication skills

Experience of working in a contact centre is desirable
