Container Freight Station Manager
Container Freight Station Logistics Company: seeks a professional MANAGER to oversee the day-to-day activities of a business unit (CFS), while simultaneously working on long-term planning, strategy and tactical execution. Reporting to the VP, your principal responsibility is to lead and proactively manage the company’s freight operation with an emphasis on rapidly growing the business and developing the client base and product offering.
Responsibilities:
· Effectively manage all aspects of the business to ensure profitability growth.
· Must be knowledgeable of the CFR title 19 and Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of AMS
· An entrepreneurial-minded professional with the right combination of experience in Operations and Administration of the entire business unit.
· Develop and aggressively grow the business through identification of trends and opportunities and then implement strategies to succeed along with new service offerings
· Identify and convert high revenue potential customers for optimum use of the CFS facilities and ensure continuous client support through creative means
· Ensure that the physical infrastructure meets the demands of the business and supports growth
· Lead and motivate key personnel, monitor and manage performance
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a Container Freight Station
· Have worked in a similar senior level role within the Logistics sector
· Must be knowledgeable of the CFR title 19 and must be knowledgeable of all aspects of AMS
· Strong communication relationship skills with clients and employees across diverse cultures; with excellent negotiating and influencing ability
· Business Development skills, must have the ability to build strong senior level relationships with clients.
· Drive and resilience, particularly with regard to implementing strategy and managing development change
· Strong leadership, management and motivational abilities
