The Product Development department is responsible for designing and implementing new products and enhancing existing ones at FactSet. Within Product Development, the Database Development group adds to and enhances data content on FactSet’s product suite, an important piece of FactSet’s business model. The Database Development group works closely with the database engineers, application developers, salespeople, consultants, and the knowledge management, marketing, and training groups to ensure that the database meets client’s requirements.

Job Description:

The Content Specialist position is suited for someone who has experience working with financial data, is technically inclined, can work independently and has the ability to interface with other teams.

 

Specifically the Equity Reference Data and Corporate Actions Content Specialist is primarily responsible for integration of reference data and corporate actions content. This involves defining, testing and documenting internal and external data publishing and functionality for this content. The Specialist is expected to work with Engineering, Vendors, Content QA, Application Development and other Development teams to facilitate seamless assimilation of this content across client-facing platforms.  He/she with the assistance of senior developer guides the development process.

 

The Specialist is also expected to create, implement and monitor quality procedures as well as other processes to ensure timely availability as well as accuracy of the content, data retrieval and provide general support for the product.  Additionally, the Content Specialist is responsible for assisting FactSet Consulting with providing timely client support for inquiries related to the content.
