Content Strategist (H/F) Job in Chicago 60606, Illinois US
Our client, a Chicago interactive agency, is in search of a content strategist for an ongoing project with potential to go perm, on-site in the Loop. We’re looking for candidates with at least 2 years of experience auditing, evaluating and making recommendations for content on large corporate, e-commerce or comparable websites. Must work and play well with others.
Location: On-site in downtown Chicago
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: ASAP – July 2 (could become permanent for the right candidate)
Job type: Freelance (W2)
PROJECT DELIVERABLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create all deliverables associated with content strategy, including content audit, content strategy and content matrix
- Evaluate existing content assets and feeds based on business objectives and target audience, and make recommendations for content migration
- Research and define taxonomy and metadata
- Make SEO recommendations based on best practices
- Provide rationale for all recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years content strategy experience
- 4+ years in the interactive space
- Experience creating and implementing content strategies on large-scale websites
- Must be adept at working autonomously, and communicating in person with a large team
- Strong time management skills: independence, speed and efficiency are required
- Knowledge of web standards and best practices in user experience and SEO
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, information science or a related field
