The Role
Bloomberg is offering an exciting consulting opportunity in our HRIS department for an experienced Data Analyst/Data Steward. We seek a dynamic, results-oriented individual with proven problem solving and analytic skills. This person will be instrumental in adding a customer services aspect to the Bloomberg employee data warehouse implementation. The candidate will also have the opportunity to be a key contributor to the employee data warehouse enhancement projects. Through collaboration and partnership with the worldwide HR team, this individual will ensure that exceptional customer service is provided to users of this reporting system.
The successful applicant will be responsible for daily operations support to end users, executing periodic data audits and identifying gaps, escalating issues to the development team, continuous improvement of data accuracy and current processes. The candidate will also be instrumental in developing a data quality strategy, creating and maintaining Data Dictionaries and training users on report usage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a Data Analyst or Data Steward role combined with customer service
- Understanding of data quality and data integrity issues and developing/recommending solutions
- Strong analytical thinking and customer service orientation
- Experience using ad-hoc and analytical reporting tools and data warehousing tools, such as SAP BEX Analyzer
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and/or other HR ERP system is a plus
- Knowledge of HR business processes is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
- Data Visualization skills
