Description:
Provides direct support for ongoing contractual requirements of the satellite services business operations; prepares and negotiates vendor and subcontractor agreements; administers government contracts, including but not limited to Schedule 70 Contract and tasking, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Works closely with sales, billing, and engineering personnel to develop terms and conditions addressing customer requirements
- Acts as primary contact between sales force and Legal Department, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly
- Drafts contracts, conducts negotiations and coordinates execution of contracts for the sale of equipment and services
- Manages a variety of government, service provider, agent, and supplier contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements
- Updates contract templates for resellers, agents, and consultants, as necessary or as requested
- Prepares modifications to existing contracts
- Prepares Non-Disclosure Agreements, teaming agreements, memoranda of agreement, memoranda of understanding
- Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures applicable to contracting and contract management
- Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract awards, status, compliance, modifications, etc.
- Oversees close out of contracts; initiates archiving of records
- Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes to streamline document production and retrieval of contract data
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/
Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years in contracts (US Government contract experience preferred), with at least 5 years of experience in negotiation and drafting
- Familiarity with satellite communications service industry preferred
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word and Excel)
- Ability to work without supervision, to set priorities, to exercise good judgment and business sense
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
