Contract Project Manager- Finance
Details:
- This contractor will support the primary point of contacts for our top tier HAMP participating servicers
- The individual should have the potential to eventually move into a position as the primary MHA lead for large servicers
- This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with our Servicers in order to improve Servicer operational performance and execution resulting in reduced credit losses for Non GSE loans within the Making Home Affordable Program (MHA)
- This contractor will be part of a team that supports all aspects of the MHA programs with servicers
- Strong communication, leadership and project management skills are needed
- The contractor will mainly be working with Internal Systems and BOXI
- Business Objects experience is preferred, but not required
- This individual will support the primary point of contact that manages the day-to-day Servicer relationships and performance, assist in managing the current framework of accountability including driving business results, improved reporting, tracking program implementation status and routine performance review meetings for the Servicer and MHA
- The role is also responsible for assisting ongoing work with the Servicer to design new loss mitigation strategies in order to help keep more borrowers in their homes
- Carries out directed operational objectives and work plans, and takes the initiative on assignments
- Involved in assisting in the development, modification and execution of company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have program-wide effect
- Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
Must-have skills:
- A background in the mortgage finance industry, preferably in servicing
- Candidates should have at least years of Mortgage Servicing experience
- Strong Project Management and Account Management skills are also required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, this role has a high level of influence, requiring the ability to build strong and ongoing relationships with the senior leadership of our Servicers and related counterparties
- It also requires strong collaboration and knowledge of Servicing operations as it has a high impact on MHA's overall customer relationships as well as a direct impact to the bottom line by reducing credit losses
- HAMP or default servicing policy knowledge is a strong plus for candidates
- Candidates should have general computer knowledge and be proficient with MS Office suite
- They should have advanced Outlook and MS Excel experience
Preferred Background:
- 3+ years of mortgage servicing preferred, or mortgage operations or underwriting are also acceptable
- 1-3 years of project management experience
- 1-3 years of account, customer, client relationship management
HAMP Resource:
- Please confirm citizenship status
- Please also confirm the candidate has not worked as an FTE at a servicer in the past four months
- Preferably experience with Loss Mitigation, Servicing, Relationship Management and/or Credit Policy experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills are preferred
