The Contract and Licensing Specialist position is responsible for executing all manager contracts and establishing hierarchy for compensation and performance purposes. The C L Specialist manages the lifecycle for all broker contracts. This includes any/all changes including contract terminations. This position is accountable for ensuring contract and license/appointment procedures are administered and maintained in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
· Administer all contracts, licensing, and appointment requirements for new manager contracts, transitioning contracts, re-contracts, reinstatements in a timely manner and according to company and DOI guidelines.
· Prepare amendments, administration letters and supportive correspondence as needed for special agreements.
· Establish and maintain high quality relationships with all levels of field managers and home office partners to ensure adherence to Colonial Life’s policies and guidelines. Coach and mentor new managers.
· Obtain background investigation on prospective producers and make contracting recommendations based on background results to minimize financial risk to company.
· Facilitate contracting issues resolutions in partnership with sales management, HO partners, legal, and HR.
· Partner with field management to accurately establish and maintain office hierarchy for manager contracts.
· Ensure contracting process is conducted in compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Serve as a technical resource for the field relative to administration of all services and processes.
· In-depth knowledge of all systems and databases, to ensure proper accounting of license and appointment fees.
· Process necessary license applications and appoint brokers with appropriate state departments of insurance.
· Update license and appointment records upon receipt of renewed licenses.
· Contribute to team and organizational goals through active participation in activities to improve accuracy, timeliness, productivity and customer satisfaction.
· Support market conduct exams
· May perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred
· Associates Degree or 2-3 years work experience
· Solid knowledge of field structure and hierarchy
· Knowledge of Colonial Life contracts
· Experience with sales organization
· General knowledge of legal process
