Contracts Manager
A Major Civil Engineering Contractors South west regional business is seeking an experienced and established Contracts Manager
Responsible for regional projects with a value of between £250K to £30M, consisting of: Highways, Rail, Infrastructure, water, marine and structures.
The ideal person must be: Chartered / Qualified Engineer with significant experience of operating at a Contracts Manager level, Strong contracts management background on civil engineering projects, specifically Rail and Roads/Highways, Construction Engineering Management (CEM) qualification is desirable, Team player with good communication skills and an approachable yet assertive style.
Duties and responsibilities will consist of:
- Provide leadership ensuring that contractual commitments are met and exceeded
- Controlling regional staff recruitment, labour resource training
- Assisting the Business Development Manager in optimizing new business opportunities within the region
- Communicate and ensure implementation of business policies and procedures.
- Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts
- Development of financial plans - ensure that these are met and exceeded
- Ensure appropriate contract review, audit and control systems are met
- Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support
