Overview:

The EMEA Control Room is part of Compliance Central Services at Deutsche Bank and liaises with both the business divisions and other Compliance departments globally. The EMEA Control Room is part of a global Control Room network of four regions (EMEA, Americas, Hong Kong, and Tokyo). The EMEA Control Room comprises ten staff. This role will be based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include conflict clearance, Research clearance, Chinese wall crossings and Watch and Restricted List maintenance. In addition the candidate will be responsible; as part of a CR team; for a number of countries in the wider EMEA region in respect of CR related activities.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:

*Helping prevent and detect the misuse of unpublished price sensitive information through (a) the administration and monitoring of the bank's Chinese Wall procedures, (mainly maintenance of the Watch List and associated securities monitoring) and (b) administration of the bank's PA dealing policy
*Ensuring compliance with specific securities laws and/or bank policy relating to trading and research restrictions through administration and publication of the bank's Restricted List and associated securities monitoring
*Helping detect, escalate and manage potential conflicts of interest between different divisions of the bank through administration of the intra-divisional conflict clearing process and clearing of the bank's research product
*Provision of advice to the business, Legal and Compliance on the above issues

You will have:

*Significant experience in a Control Room environment in an investment bank or experience gained in monitoring or advisory compliance is preferable
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*An organised and structured work style, working calmly under pressure

You will be:

*Educated to degree level
*Highly motivated with the ability to work to deadlines
*Able to work as part of a small team in a small security controlled environment
*Discrete in the handling of confidential information
