The ever-evolving regulatory landscape requires McGraw Hill Financial to bolster our European compliance function with respect to European regulation legislation (CRA 3 MAD etc.). We seek a Control Room Officer to be based in Canary Wharf; this individual will be charged with, alongside the Head of the Control Room, shaping our regulatory framework to ensure we meet compliance with European regulation.

You will:

• Manage insider lists – On-board and off-board employees, contractors and temporary staff.
• Manage insider lists – Manage internal insider lists
• Manage insider lists – Manager external insider lists
• Manage insider lists – Monitor access controls as they pertain to insider lists
• IT infrastructure process improvement
• Produce reports and data as required by internal or external auditors and/ or regulatory requests
• Work with the email surveillance group
• Chaperone Ratings Evaluation Services meetings
• Ratings Evaluation Services monitoring (documentation, recording etc.)
Qualifications
Required:

• A CRA background or demonstrable knowledge of a 'management of conflict' environment such as a control room
• Experience in a control function-type environment such as Compliance or day-to-day Operations with a control focus
• Excellent attention to detail and good process management
• Excellent Excel skills are required, and knowledge of MySQL would be a benefit
• The ability to think logically, with good communication skills
• The ability to work in a team with a flexible attitude and a willingness to adapt to varied job requirements
• Ideally educated to at least degree level or relevant industry certifications or a directly relevant (demonstrable) background
• Fluency in a second European language would be desirable (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian), particularly to support external insider list outreach and maintenance
