Controller
This Winnipeg-based organisation is looking for a highly motivated and experienced accountant who welcomes new challenge. If you have a strategic approach to operations and a strong analytical background, this position is for you.
As Controller, you will oversee the full cycle accounting and financial reporting functions for all of our corporate entities. This position will require you to communicate effectively with other departments and our Board of Directors.
What you will do:
* Manage daily accounting process; balance sheet reconciliations, AP, AR, revenue and expense allocations, adjusting journal entries
* Prepare, analyse and report on period-end financial statements and statistical reports to management and external stakeholders
* Manage cash flow and prepare monthly budgets
* Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure compliance with industry standards
* Provide expertise on operational efficiency, strategising with management to achieve long-term goals
Must haves:
* 5+ years accounting experience in a managerial capacity
* Cash management expertise
* Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with large boards
* Exceptional multitasking and problem-solving skills
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Advanced standing in a recognised accounting program an asset
