Golden Hour Data Systems is a medical billing and software engineering company located in Mira Mesa. We are seeking a hands-on Controller. This position reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing all accounting duties including reporting packages, budgets and forecasting. The Controller works directly with all members of the Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Direct and coordinate monthly/quarterly/year-end end close and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
· Maintain the company’s system of accounts and keeps records on all company transactions and assets
· Customer Reporting for operational performance
· Prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
· Develop, implement and maintain finance, accounting, billing and auditing procedures
· Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, trends and forecasts
· Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
· Full G/L responsibility to include oversight of A/P, A/R, payroll and banking functions
· Hiring, training and retaining competent staff
· Strong professional demeanor with staff, clients and co-workers
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting, finance and management experience
· Prior Controller experience preferred
· A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
· Possess solid technical, analytical and management skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
· Superior skills in all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· ADP payroll experience preferred
· Experience in healthcare reimbursement a plus
