Controller
Our client is seeking a Controller who will: * Support the CFO in engaging the Executive Team around issues and trends in financial operations* Oversee all financial, project / program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with contract budgets throughout the period of performance* Collate financial reporting materials for government and other external customers and stakeholders* Develop financial statements* Review A/R and follow-up with stakeholders to ensure invoices are being paid in a timely manner* Develop and implement budgets, policies, and procedures* Review expenses against plan and make recommendations for managing costs* Capital investment analysis* Forecasting financial results* Fixed asset inventory control* Information systems maintenance to include Deltek and Unanet* Year-end closing functions* Reconcile General Ledger and sub-ledgers* Be responsible for full accounting cycle including payrollCandidates Must Have: * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline coupled with 7+ years of general accounting experience* A minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience* Experience with Deltek* Experience in developing policies and procedures for a corporate accounting department* Recent accounting experience in a government contracting environment
