MANDATORY Casino!

 

Our Casino Client, located near Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Controller with the following skills and/or abilities: 

 

Confident with ability to pass a very thorough FBI-Like Background Check.

 

Responsible for the supervision and performance of the Hard Count supervisor, Soft Count supervisor, General Accounting supervisor, and Income Audit supervisor.

 

Assists and advises the Finance Department and Company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful performance of their assigned job duties and the Company overall.

 

Develops and manages the budget for the department / company.

 

Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment. 

 

Ability to read complex documents and understand state and local tax laws, banking codes, gaming laws and regulations.

 

Acts as company liaison with internal and external auditors, to maintain compliance with internal controls.

 

Analyzes and reviews monthly financial statements, information, and other special reports with directors and managers as necessary. 

 

Manages, directs, and controls all departmental functions in the absence of the Senior Director of Finance.

 

Supervises and assists finance department management personnel with operations and procedural questions. 

 

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, casino policies and marketing plans.

 

Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.

 

4-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 

 

C.P.A. or other professional certification is preferred.
