Conversion Analyst - Asset Svc (Job Number: 1312940)
Description
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing a mix of conversion activity that includes new business conversions, de-conversions, asset reallocations, in-kind transfers and/or asset certifications. S/He will be responsible for the completion of accurate conversion data on financial statements for daily, weekly, or monthly valuation clients. S/He will be supporting a conversion activities related to a mix of institutional client relationships requiring the understanding of custody and accounting processing activities. This position also involves the support and review of control reports to effectively mitigate our risks. S/He will also be responsible for the resolution of any problems that arise during the conversion process, and the communication of this information to all interested parties including the client, investment managers and our internal business groups. This position requires substantial flexibility, as the incumbent will be assigned multiple events at a time with time sensitive deadlines.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or comparable work experience. S/He must have a general knowledge of securities and trust accounting theories and practices. S/He must be familiar with PC spreadsheets, on-line systems, a working knowledge of security settlement and brokerage practices, and experience with asset transfers (securities collective/mutual funds). S/He must possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines. Three years of relevant securities experience is desired.
