COO – Business Management Strategy recruitment

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW :
The role sits within the Global Fixed Income COO Business Management Group, based in London. The individual will report into the FID Strategy function, and provide business support to the Global Fixed Income management team across various initiatives where necessary. The individual has to be an independent self-starter, ideally with a strategy background in management consulting, investment banking, or from a strategy/business development function within another financial services firm. Experience in financial services is necessary. A good working knowledge of Fixed Income products and market trends is highly desirable but not necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the Fixed Income Management Committee’s weekly meetings and biannual
  strategy onsites
- Creating strategy presentations (e.g. board presentations, employee town halls, regulatory
  presentations)
- Supporting the project management of strategic initiatives
- Supporting investment due diligence where necessary
- Performing market and competitor analyses where necessary
- Liaising with other parts of Fixed Income on strategic initiatives (e.g. FID CFO, Product  COOs)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or business development
- Excellent PowerPoint skills – problem structuring and story-lining a plus
- Strong Excel and analytical skills – ability to problem solve
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong academic background from a top tier university (Accounting/Finance degree, CFA or
  MBA a plus)
- Exposure to and knowledge of financial markets
- Confidence and ability to work with senior management
- Ability to work under pressure and be a team player
