Strategic Risk Management IB (SRM IB), part of the Chief Risk Officer Division, is looking for a senior AVP to join the SRM IB COO function in London, reporting to the SRM IB COO in New York. The SRM IB COO function reports to the Head of SRM IB in New York. 

SRM IB is looking to strengthen its COO function in London as part of its effort to enhance and continue to support the department.  The role will report to the COO of SRM IB and is particularly suitable for people at AVP level with governance and control experience, well developed general understanding of market risk matters and a good grasp of front to back processes within the Bank.  The roles offer an opportunity for people interested in continuing their career in the CRO Division.

The COO function in SRM IB is responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining the governance, policy, procedures and control framework of the department.  SRM IB is continually aiming to improve and has developed a governance and control framework that is at the same time effective, practical and efficient and that provides a robust track record of the departments activities.

The COO function further supports the Head of SRM IB in the management of the 280 people strong department.  This includes the development and analysis of suitable MIS and the management of the Management Committee and other management processes.  The COO function is also responsible for budgeting and expense management in SRM IB.  The COO function further assumes a critical role in the interaction with regulators, Regional Management, other support functions and RAR, and it represents SRM IB in a host of regional and entity governance bodies, control improvement projects, in the New Business process and in business continuity processes.
