- Associate Degree required BA or BS in Business or technical field preferred. - Previous cellular or telecommunications industry experience preferred. - Understanding of Fixed Assets, equipment ordering, equipment retirement and depreciation required. - 3-5 years of Fixed Asset and/or Inventory Control and Management required. - Must have proficient PC skills, (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) - Must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision. - Must be able to deliver projects on time and with a high level of accuracy. - Must be capable of handling multiple projects and set priorities in a highly demanding and flexible environment. - Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. - Must be detailed oriented and have excellent organizational skills - Must have a proactive, positive attitude. - Working Knowledge of the Fulcrum Inventory System preferred. - Working Knowledge of Peoplesoft Purchasing System preferred. - Must be able to multi task and adapt to very flexible and changing priorities - Ability to travel occasionally to other regions - Drivers license is required Inventory Management: 1. Maintain an effective and efficient operation for the receipt, staging and transfer of inventory in a regional MSC, cellular sites and other storage locations. 2. Develop and maintain standard operating processes and procedures for management of regional inventory. 3. Perform and oversee accurate and timely cycle counts on Cellsite, MSC, and vehicle storage locations to ensure inventory accuracy. 4. Ensure appropriate levels of equipment spares are maintained per Equipment Engineering, Network Engineering and vendor recommendations. 5. Manage and process excess equipment removed from cell sites and switch. Determine status of the equipment ? excess, defective, obsolete. 6. Process all obsolete equipment for retirement and arrange for pick up of the equipment to be return to our regional warehouse for disposal. 7. Work with regional and Northeast area coordinators and warehouse vendor to reduce inventory of obsolete equipment. 8. Understand equipment life cycles and impact on inventory and assets. 9. Verify and manage all transfers of new and used cell site and switch equipment to and from our regional warehouse and process properly within 30 day window to meet HQ Metric. 10. Process all repairs and returns for all defective equipment from cell sites and switch. Includes the gathering, packing, shipping and receiving of RMA equipment 11. Work with numerous vendors for replacement or repair of equipment within a 30 day window to meet HQ Metric. 12. Manage and maintain equipment for all spares locations for switch and cell sites to assure necessary equipment is available for repair stock and growth to the network. 13. As a member of the Verizon Network team, work closely with Construction, RF, Engineering and Operations teams to meet network goals and objectives. 14. Continually look for ways to improve our methods and procedures for increased efficiencies and accuracy levels. Order Processing: 1. Secure funding, open projects and create purchase orders for new cell site equipment as requested by Equipment Engineering group. 2. Work with regional budget manager and financial staff to push out due dates on open purchase orders as needed to maintain good budget metrics. 3. Create and process purchase orders for all repairs. 4. Receive all repair purchase orders when repairs are completed and insure that invoices are process. Auditing: 1. Perform scanning on all equipment received or transferred from warehouse, switch or cell sites. 2. Perform and reconcile, cycle counts on all spares, technician trucks, cell sites, colts and switch to maintain compliance with HQ Metrics. 3. Cycle count all cell and switch spares and truck locations in 1st half and 2nd half of year or as directed by our area inventory team. 4. Monitor the percentage of total cell sites for the market that are cycle counted and completed each quarter by the cell techs. 5. Periodic cycle count of the MTSO locations as specified by area inventory team. 6. Cycle count Colts (total to be determined by HQ Metrics). Reporting: 1. Run daily error report from the scanning system and correct all errors within a 10 day window to meet HQ Metrics. 2. Run Ravs reports to locate and recover equipment not in service for future growth jobs. 3. Run RMA report to locate any open RMAs that needs to be completed and closed before the 30 day window. 4. Run Asset in Transit location physical inventory transfer report to monitor what equipment has shipped and what needs to be received before 30 day window. 5. Run physical inventory transfer reports for spares locations to determine if any equipment is over 365 days old and whether it is needed or not.
