One of the world’s leading investment banks is seeking a Core Java developer to join their expanding Houston Equities team. Working in this team within electronic trading/eTrading technology, you will be working within trading and clearing on over 100 exchanges, globally, developing systems in Core Java for client connectivity using the FIX protocol.
You will be working with many trading systems components including Sungard GT (formerly GL Trade), Fidessa, FIX and OMS applications from ULLink as well as trading applications from Trading Technologies and a wide variety of applications developed in-house using Java/J2EE/JEE, C++, FIX, Perl, etc. This position is working on the development, support and maintenance of the existing applications and new applications.
Required:
• Expert Core Java developer
• Working knowledge of FIX protocol
• Excellent communication skills
• An understanding of TCP/IP concepts
Preferred:
• FIX v.5.0
• Perl, Shell and Python scripting experience
• Spring/Hibernate
