QA Non Functional Tester / Technical Support

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

*QA. Write, run and provide daily reports on automated Quality Assurance test scripts

*Track issues and their resolution, and ensure Testing is rigorous

*Non-Functional Testing

*Write, run and provide daily reports on performance testing.

*Definition of Test Strategies, Plans and Approaches as required and in line with best practices

*Ensure offshore test team is resourced to undertake the required test planning, specification, management, execution and reporting to meet agreed non-functional requirements within timescale and cost constraints

*Ensure accurate and timely reporting on testing progress in accordance with agreed project/department/release management timescales

*Coordinate with other technical resources in order to facilitate managing our test environment and data requirements to ensure compliance with guidelines

*Ensure that traceability can be evidenced between requirements, test specification and test execution and adequate records of the test process and the quality of the test effort, with the production of a Test Summary Report

*3nd line application support across a variety of products. (strong focus on middleware, especially Nirvana and Tibco/EMS)

*Troubleshooting logged errors in a rapid fashion.

*Communicating directly with customers to establish problem details

*Give technical support and advice to clients and internally

*Deployment Environment trouble shooting and Management of the different environ

*Shell scripting ( Power shell capabilities)

PERSONAL / TECHNICAL SKILLS

*Very technical with a good knowledge of middleware (Nirvana, Tibco/EMS , strong authentification …)

*Adaptability - to deliver whatever is needed from the critical path

*Good communication skills

*Ability to work under pressure

*Ability to define and refine non functional requirements

*Ability to liaise with external organizational groups to meet goals/resolve issues

*Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;

*Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;

Non-functional testing includes:

*Compatibility testing

*Load testing

*Localization testing and Internationalization testing

*Performance testing

*Recovery testing

*Resilience testing

*Stress testing

PAST EXPERIENCE

*Managing large and complex projects across multiple platforms, managing complex new system deliveries, integration and migration programs

*Knowledge of testing tools

*Strong understanding and experience working with different development and testing methodologies in front office environment
