Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Server Side Java Developer  to join our high profile client.

Our client is a trading man start up who have created a market leading product in the financial platform market. Details of the full ideas of the company are protected by a Non Disclosure agreement but they are at the bleeding edge of not only product ideas but also technology and market data and credit risk manipulation.

This innovative start-up is pioneering a new concept for the financial markets.  The most important part of their product will be the enterprise-grade technology platform. This is a unique green field development opportunity that will allow you to play a part in shaping the future of finance and be rewarded accordingly.

Development is agile and fast paced. Work is test driven, with unit tests implemented first to be run in our continuous integration environment. You will be encouraged to evangelise and prototype new technologies and through doing so you will help shape the architecture.

Candidates Must Have:

• 4 years commercial experience
• Server side multi-threaded Java / J2EE
• JMS and asynchronous MOM architectures
• Experience in a Fund or Asset Manager or financial software business
• Serious exposure to Core Java (not siloed amateurs)
• Spring initiatives such as Core Spring, Spring Integration and Spring Batch
• JUnit and TestNG
• Hibernate
• SQL and Oracle
• Experience of Relational Databases
• Puppet and Maven would be ideal
