Corporate Accountant recruitment
Our client is a global leader in providing insurance and reinsurance solutions to corporate clients across the North American, South American, European and Asian markets. Due to continued growth of their London office and Lloyd’s platform, they are now seeking to appoint a Corporate Accountant to become an integral part of the finance team and get involved in all aspects of financial control and tax accounting.
Key responsibilities:
- Expense allocations and variance analysis
- VAT calculations and returns
- Production of annual UK expense budget, monthly expense allocations and variance analysis
- Production of statutory accounts and regulatory returns for corporate entities
- Preparation of monthly corporation tax workings for posting into the general ledger
- Assistance in non-corporate regulatory reporting requirements
- Assistance in the calculation of internal quota share balances and Group reporting packs
Key requirements:
- University graduate with a minimum of 2.1 degree
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or international equivalent)
- Strong audit training
- Exposure to corporation tax, VAT returns or other relevant tax expertise is highly desirable
- First class communication skills and the confidence to communicate comfortably with senior personnel
- Ability to prioritise issues, identify areas of difficulty and communicate clearly with management
