Quality Assurance Engineer/ Analyst recruitment

Major Responsibilities:

60% QUALITY ASSURANCE:

Develops and maintains testing strategy for Global Markets applications including system regression tests; user acceptance testing; integrated testing; performance testing; disaster recovery testing.  Establishes and maintains toolsets (QTP, etc.) for testing infrastructure.  Creates and maintains test plans for each testing strategy, including time, effort and resource requirements.  Creates and coordinates creation of automated and manual test scripts.  Maintains library of test scripts.  Assures the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential tools. Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments. Works with developers (onshore and offshore) and business users to improve overall quality of Global Markets applications. 

 25% PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS ANALYST:

Manages the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates. Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan. Works with Project Manager to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QA related projects and other activities such as software deployment and management of vendor deliverables. Responsible and accountable for coordinating the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output. Responsible for creating QA related tasks and checklists, in conjunction with Tech Leads, for software deployment regression testing cycle(s). Works with Senior Business Analyst to develop QA testing designs and solutions incorporating data security, compliance and audit requirements.  Works with ITG and others to analyze, recommend and implement infrastructure solutions such as enterprise testing platforms for Global Markets.  Evaluates and recommends new QA systems and processes, including resources, for Global Markets QA projects. 

 15% PRODUCTION SUPPORT:  

Provide Tier 2 Production Support assistance of new implementations primarily focused within the first 30 days post deployment. Troubleshooting and testing to support legacy applications, focusing on regression testing and validation of bug fixes and enhancements for core trading platforms such as Opics and Calypso.  Meet with Production Support Team to design/update/modify test cases that will address application failures and/or data inconsistencies.
