Corporate Actions Analyst
Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe.
Products and services include wealth management, stockbroking and retail lending and banking solutions such as residential and commercial mortgages, investment lending, personal loans, credit cards and relationship banking to businesses and professionals.
Reporting to the Custody Operations Manager, Corporate Actions Analysts are responsible for processing corporate action events for ASX listed securities on the WRAP platform. The goal of the business unit is to provide customer driven service with end-to-end accountability and complete accuracy. In this role you will be responsible for the processing/approval of all elective and non-elective corporate actions including Dividends, DRPs, Floats, Rights issues, Takeovers, Share Purchase Plans, Bonus Issues buy backs.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor corporate action events and accurately capture key details for processing
- Receive and action adviser instructions in the take up of corporate actions
- Ensure all instructions received are processed and sent to the registry prior to the cutoff date
- Enter corporate actions in PMS
- Deliver solution focused service to achieve a high level of satisfaction and develop strong adviser and client relationships
- Consider the best outcome for adviser and clients in all circumstances
- Deliver solutions in problem resolution activities
- Initiate and monitor adviser follow ups on client elections
- Provide accurate information and address advisers and client issues at time of response
Requirements:
- Several years of Corporate Actions experience
- Equities and derivatives knowledge
- Understanding of corporate actions - domestic and preferably some international
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Microsoft Office applications knowledge - Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Customer service focus
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle significant volumes
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ideally have experience with systems such as Broker, Bloomberg, CHESS, Composer, PMS/Garradin, Iress
