Pricing, accounting, and corporate actions processing responsibilities:
The corporate actions Middle Office performs both U.S. and global, mandatory and voluntary corporate action support and accounting processing for selected Middle Office clients. The group is responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent throughout the lifecycle of the events for a variety of assets types including but not limited to both equities and fixed income.
The incumbent is responsible for researching, reviewing, and approving the operational output of a team of specialists and sr. specialists to ensure 100% accuracy on corporate actions activity. This includes data collection from custodians and vendors, validation, notification, client election, custodian election, allocation, pricing assets, cost and taxability.
The incumbent is expected to have a complete understanding of all corporate action procedures, events, workflows, systems, and market practices. They will act as a subject matter expert and take a lead on inquiries from clients, management, and less experienced staff. They will work on multiple systems and be responsible for much of the final review to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all the corporate actions processed by the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. 3 to 5 years experience.
