Corporate Communications Manager recruitment
Reporting to the Country Head, the successful incumbent will be responsible for:
Key accountabilities:
- Lead the Communications External Affairs functional team in Singapore and build its core capability
- Provide Communications External Affairs functional expertise within Singapore, identify priority areas and interventions required to deliver excellent Communications External Affairs performance across the Group
- Identify and facilitate the delivery of non-technical risk mitigation plans for the function and business in line with the planning process. Providing strategic and tactical advice to Head of Country and Business Unit Leaders on communications issues
- Maintain defined, comprehensive relationships and networks with key external stakeholders. Particular focus upon the Singapore government, international business community, local community and the media.
- Be part of Singapore Emergency Response team and manage crisis communications. Ensure potential spokespersons are trained to conduct media interviews
- Tailor and deliver appropriate internal and external messages in Singapore that enhances reputation and supports business delivery. Produce the staff newsletter and maintain local intranet
- Deliver in Singapore strategies for community investment in accordance with the corporate responsibility framework.
- Manage or support senior visits to Singapore
- Set, agree and manage Communications External Affairs functional budget
- Work closely as part of the integrated regional Communications External Affairs network, providing direct support to the Country Head
Requirements:
- Degree holder with a minimum of 10 years communications experience
- Deep experience in Singapore government and media relations
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships at senior levels and build networks both inside and outside the company
- Excellent written communications skills and ability to communicate across multiple groups
- Proven track record of delivering Communications External Affairs performance through the demonstration of high business awareness
- Cultural awareness and ability to value different approaches to delivery.
- Ability to understand the wider business context and translate complex technical issues into simple context for communication to external and internal audiences;
- Fluency in Chinese language (both written and spoken) preferred
- Track record of incident and issues-led crisis management.
