Corporate Credit Analyst – eminent investment manager recruitment

We have an opportunity available for a Corporate Credit Analyst for our client; an eminent investment manager in London's West End.

The credit area is an independent unit operating within the portfolio management arena of the business. The primary objectives of the department are:
-Undertake initial reviews of individual credits
-Set and monitor internal limits
-Surveillance of all credits within portfolios
-Promote portfolio stability
-Analyse and disseminate news flow
-Maintain accurate data on guarantors

This corporate credit analyst role is a permanent position, and the successful applicant will work to take ownership of a portfolio of corporate credits across a small number of sectors. The role will demand detailed credit analysis, both at the issuer and sector level, and the need to reach, discuss and present conclusions on the findings.

The successful corporate credit analyst will possess the following skills and experience:
-Analysis academic qualifications in a finance related discipline
-Accountancy qualifications, legal experience, and CFA qualifications would be desirable
-Substantial experience in credit analysis
-Experience and knowledge of the CDS market and the risks specific to this type of exposure
-Strong written and oral communication skills
